Is this the showdown of the year? In the smartphone world, we would argue that it is. If you’re looking for the world’s best 3G smartphones right now, (No 4G networks in Charleston anyway) you’re likely considering two specific choices: Apple’s iPhone on AT&T & Verizon Now or HTC’s DROID Incredible on Verizon Network. Both phones provide an excellent user experience, and both are as cutting edge as they come. Both also offer very different and distinct experiences, with one coming by way of iOS 4.3 (newest version of Apple’s mobile operating system) and the other Android 2.2 (most widespread version of Google’s mobile operating system to date) with HTC’s Touch Sense user interface.
In other words, both of these devices are competing for the same title as the best on the market, but each one is its own beast, with its own list of pros and cons. Most of the pros and cons of the phones are ironically the same though. If you’re in the market to upgrade your own handset and can’t seem to choose between these two super-phones, I’ve owned an IPhone for about 2 years. I now own the HTC Incredible!
They are both about the same physical size, the resolution on the iPhone is a tad bit better, (my old eyes can’t tell the difference) but unless you are an absolute MAC freak, The HTC is the phone to buy. Right now Verizon even has a special at $149.99 with a $50.00 mail in rebate. That’s right! One of the coolest, phones on the market for $100.00. I was so torn between the two, so since I’m not an absolute MAC guy, the price, and quality and just the all-out fun of the phone, I have the say the HTC is for me!
